The report actually wasn't about babies BORN in May - August, it was about babies CONCEIVED in May - August. Personally, I've never conceived a child (amazingly out of 6 pregnancies) during that time, but it does make sense to me. The first three months are when most of the brain development occurs, so exposure to those toxins could cause problems.

I think it's crap. I was born in June and am very intelligent and was in the GATE program in elementary and middle school and in AP classes in high school. My dad was born in May and is a networking engineer for the government. He is very smart as well as many other people I know born then. Also, my baby's due in August and I'm sure she'll be brilliant!! I agree with you...odd!

This was from a study at some university in Indiana. I think pesticides can have a number of detrimental effects, including loss of intelligence. But I thought the study was from babies conceived then.
Think of fetal alcohol syndrom, these toxins are much worse than alcohol and can get in the water supply & air supply and especially your food.
Buy local produce if you can (emissions from transport also get into food) and organic.

I was born in August, and I was in the accelerated program in high school and graduated college with honors. My 7 year old daughter was born in August, and she is in the gifted program in school. That sounds like a really unfounded claim.

No. My daughter was born May 8th and she is a genius. Literally. She has been tested and already had a higher IQ than the average doctor. She was in 3rd grade when they tested her. So, I don't think that's true.

I don't know what you mean but I don't think that babies born in those months are different than the others.

well my bday is in may, and my husbands is in august. we both were always in the 90+ percentile as kids, and i got around 1400 on my SATs...so i seriously doubt there is any validity to that! they are always coming up with new BS to freak ppl out! i wouldn't worry about it!
