Some of the metal post are broken at the ground and others bent real bad from the storms. It's the post used around Iowa for snow fencing.

One way to get the posts out is to use an old fashioned bumper jack.
Farmers use similar method to pull out wooden fence posts. (bigger jacks)
Wrap a chain around the post & use the jack to pull it up.
If you can bend the tops of the broken ones ,should be ok w/ a little digging.

Are you planning to replace the fencing? I have some too that I removed the chain link fencing from the posts. My best idea that I am planning on doing is spray painting the posts dark green and then planting tall cedars to hide the posts.

Of course you may use a hacksaw or power tool to remove them completely as well...

Dig because they probably have a flange under ground that prevents them from easily slipping out.
