Okay this is how it goes!!! Last Monday I found out i was pregnate and I was so happy because we have been trying for a while now. Well Wenesday evening I began to bleed lightly. (Period was due on Tuesday aslo) So immediatly I went to the hospital to be checked out. Well I was told by the doctors that the blood test came up negitive. So he told me to test again in a week. Well I was bleeding all week like a period so I figuered that Im not pregnate. But still wondering why the test said I was. Well this morning I took another test and it was one of the good ones that read pregnate or not. Guess what it said I was. So now I dont know if I am or not. Has anyone ever had this issue before? What do you think? Let me know! Thanks

Blood tests are more accurate than home pregnancy tests. If it came up negative, then it is almost a certainty that you are not pregnant. The test monitors a hormone, and you probably naturally have higher levels of this hormone. I would like to send you my condolences, because I know that you feel a sense of loss. You can always go to the doctor or a clinic and have another blood test to be absolutely positive. If it is negative, I would suggest waiting until your period is 5-7 days late before taking a test in the future. I would hate for you to get a false positive in the future and have to go through this again, especially since this is something that you obviously want very badly. Don't worry, it will happen!

Sorry hon. Can't tell if your pregnant or not at this point. Clearly, there is some amount of hCG (the pregnancy hormone) in your urine if the home pregnancy test is coming up positive. That could either mean that you are pregnant or having an early miscarriage. I would wait (while taking multivitamins, not drinking, not doing drugs, and not smoking) two more weeks and go back to the doctor then. By that time, they should be able to determine for certain.

You need to go back to your doctor or hospital and have them do an ultrasound....you could have miscarried which is why the blood test would come up negative. False positives are rare...you have to be carrying the pregnancy hormone for the test to come out positive. So something is going on. You need checked out ASAP.

I am sorry to say that if you miscarry the test will show positive afterwards (a couple weeks for me). I was also told that a lot of first pregnancies go this way as a sort of trial for a full term pregnancy. I went on to have 2 beautiful kids
Good luck for the future :-)

Go back for the doctors for a blood test, that is the best way!

what i have learned was that blood tests are 1000% right. So i have to guess you are not pregnant. But go to the doctor to get a physical and make sure

Check back with your doctor. The OTC pregnancy tests are still not perfect.
