None of my kids ever ran a fever from teething and not only do I don't believe this actually happens, neither does my doctor. Even if you do believe that babies get fevers from teething, it would only be low-grade and definitely not up to 102. At the same time, I don't see a need to go off on the doctor's office. Even if your little guy has an ear infection, it's entirely possible that it wasn't developed enough to be visible by any doctor during an exam. My doc always has me take a look inside the kids' ears with his instrument so I can see what he sees. And, one thing to keep in mind, antibiotics are no longer considered the must have for an ear infection anyway. A lot of doctors prefer the wait and see approach because we have learned that they can resolve themselves and overuse of antibiotics has contributed to their ineffectiveness. Of course, the younger your child is, the more likely that antibiotics will still be the first choice. Best of luck.

Babies can and usually will run a fever while teething, they are safe up to 102-103 and at that point call your doctor, giving childrens motrin or tylenol can reduce the fever and reduce the pain as well, my son cut 3 teeth at a time and now has 13 and is 15 months old I gave him infants tylenol and orajel, if she doesn't have many teeth let her gnaw on a cold, clean washcloth

yes very common for a baby to run a fever while teething, if the fever gets above 102 then you might want to do all you can to bring the fever down if withen an hour it doesnt go down and it goes up to 104 then i would call her doctor or take her to the hospital so no worries enjoy the time before she gets all her teeth.

yes, and they can get diarrhea. Docs offices will say this doesnt happen but it does. If her temp gets past 102 call the doc. Kids are safe up to 106 with adults being safe to 104.
Motrin or Tylenol helps a lot with pain and fever. Follow infant instructions.

yes they can you should call your doctor when it gets to 99 or 100. normal temp for a baby is 96 to 98. my doc says 99 is pushing it just call em and they will let you know what temp they want to see your baby at.

oh yes.. and boy do they get cranky! small ones can be alright to just over 100 , but give Tylenol only once or twice, don't draw it out. do the old fashion things like let them chew on something cold, like a teething ring.

Yes, they do tend to run fevers. Don't worry about it unless it is over 100.

my daughter is almost 8 months old, she is now getting her second tooth. She is doing much better with the second tooth, but the first one she got an ear infection and slept a lot.
