I have used AVG Anti Virus, Zone Alarm Firewall, Spy-bot Search and Destroy and Ad Aware both spyware killers for years. They are all free for personal use and I have had no trouble with Viruses Trojans etc. AVG does not slow the system down as much as some other products and Zone Alarm allows a lot of personal configuration unlike the Windows Firewall. They can all be downloaded from the following link. http://www.computeractive.co.uk/ On the home page select downloads and then the appropriate category.I also use Windows Defender from the Microsoft site. It is safe to use two anti-spy products but never use more than one A/V as it can cause conflicts. You should run A/V and anti spy weekly. Hope this helps.

Don't panic!
OK, there are several things you need to do:
1) turn off System Restore. You do this by going to Accessories..System Tools..System Restore. Turn this off--it's most often not needed and is a place where viruses hide.
2) go to www.grisoft.com and download their AVG anti-virus package. After installation, make sure you have it updated with the most current definitions.
3) I assume you're running Windows XP. Turn off your computer and re-start it in safe mode (which you do by repeatedly pressing either F5 or F8 just after you turn the power back on--you'll get a menu asking you how you want to start up). Once you've booted into safe mode, run the AVG software. This is a *very* aggressive software package and can remove just about anything.
4) Reboot your computer normally. If you're still having problems, continue with the following:
5) Go to
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/progr...
and download HiJackThis. Run the program, which will create a log file. Go to
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/
and post your HiJackThis log. You will get an extremely rapid, very precise answer as to whether or not you still have any infections and, if so, exactly what to do.
6) After everything is all cleaned up I recommend installing SpyBot (it's free; just make sure to keep it updated):
http://www.safer-networking.org/...
and SpywareTerminator (also free):
http://www.spywareterminator.com/...
Good luck!

Well... if you really mean the whole "shabang" your computer is beyond saving. Those virus probably corrupted the whole system already, so backup all your important files into a cd or flash drive and do a full system restore.

If your icons are bigger your settings have been altered..probably downloading games from the net. Looks like you have spy ware and/or viruses. Firstly, right click on a blank part of your desk top and go to PROPERTIES and then choose the settings you want. Then, go to eset, com and download NOD32 30 day free trial for your windows version...when you have it, do the default install and then re-boot like it asks and then do a deep scan and choose QUARANTINE if anything is found. Then, go to http://www.paretologic.com/xoftspy/se/newlp/xray/?uid=f8ufz and install and run. Email me if you get stuck.

Get Antivir, a free Antivirus program, from www.free-av.com
Install it and perform a system scan. If you need help, you can always refer to the website. Then install SpyBot Search and Destroy from: www.safer-networking.org/en/download/ , to remove the popups.
I hope this helps
