can someone give me tips on achieving this look? I want to brighten up the area around and especially under my eyes when I do my makeup. What kind of product is used? I have tan skin.

To brighten under the eyes you need
1)yellow based full coverage concealer ( I love the stick form from maybelline ) this stuff is pretty waxy and be sure to pick a color that is only 2 or 3 shades lighter than your own skin tone
2)great moisturizer for eye area
3)compact powder or liquid base that matches your skin tone perfectly

Start by moisturizing the area of skin around your eyes with a gentle, water based moisturizer. I tend to go for something that's really mild - like neutrogena oil free, fragrance free.

Use your regular moisturizer on the rest of your face and then with clean hands, dab dots of the concealer in your trouble spots. With some experience you can just wipe some on under your eyes and then using your ring finger tap to achieve a smooth finish.

Once you have covered your eye circles to your hearts content, use your foundation make-up on the rest of your face - being sure to go all the way down past your jawline. B

Blend the area around your eyes so that the line between your concealer and your foundation is flawless. Lastly with powder or a tiny amount of liquid foundation, go over the concealed area (including under eyes, eyelids and brows) to achieve a perfect blend.

Look into buying Kevin Aucoin's (may he rest in peace) "Making Faces" it's a great book on doing AMAZING things with makeup.

Tyra's look in that photo is a combination of dramatic brightening concealer & lighting.

Trying to copy it will look fake in person - especially if you have tan skin.

to make ur eyes look less tired, use a lighter shade eye shadow, DO NOT use black eyeliner, try grey, apply the eyeshadow lightly on your lower lashes too
