Huh, what? Need more info. Depends on who and how you ask it. To wit: Are you alone when you're in a crowd? Can you be lonely but not alone? Can you be alone and not lonely? etc. etc.

But are you asking: Are we as a planet the only one that has life on it in the whole entire universe as we know it?

Well, methinks you don't necessarily have to see something to believe it exists. As in: I don't actually see my butt when I'm walking forwards or backwards, yet I know it's there!

As far as life forms on other planets out in the universe somewhere goes? Well, I think we can be safe and true in saying that they are probably as alone there as we are here.

Feelings of loneliness in human mind and of course heart have very special significance. Because it is possible for person to feel lonely in a multitude of people; it is in fact more like for any one to feel lonely in a crowd of unacquainted people. Then it is also possible for someone to feel completely at ease with themselves even when in complete privacy of their space; one can enjoy one's own company with having to have someone around for company.

Why is this then that we still feel lonely even when we are not alone, and vice versa? The truth of matter, in my view, in in the fact of realisation of of our individual self, that is unique and peculiar in its being. When we see that we are different from other people we in fact fail to regard and accept our own uniqueness, that we try to be like other, something that we cannot do. The consequence is that we feel isolated, inaccomplished and detached – loneliness. And then when we recognised our individual self, when we find sufficient courage and wisdom to accept the we are unique then we find that we are like all other people, complete individuals. We are then at perfect ease.
