Why is orange juice called 'orange juice' when its actually yellow?

And if it is because it was made from oranges then why are oranges called oranges?
And then, which came first, the color orange or the fruit?

So orange juice comes from the orange, not from the color of the juice.

better check your o.j......last i drank of it (sunday morning) it was orange and i would assume that since it is a tangible object and the description of it is not that the actual orange existed first and then the word that was used to refer to it also doubled as the word that described its color
