Seattle posted a 116 win season...the best ever in baseball.
Was the dallas mavericks postseason performance just as bad as that team or less or worse?

Much worse. The Mariners made it out of the 1st round. The Mariners 116 wins tied the 1906 Cubs. The Cubs didn't win it all either.

I think the Mavericks loss is worse than the Mariners. The Mavericks couldn't get out of a round of 16, the Mariners made it to the AL Championship Series. Plus, in baseball, unless you're the Yankees, you can go to the playoffs and it is a successful season and that is not exactly the case in the NBA.
