I know for a fact that if marijuana became legal i for one would smoke it everyday. Not only for recreation but also for the help it gives me for my back pain. Also I believe that people should be smoking the buds instead of going out and getting drunk then driving home and risking there lives and others. Any thoughts?

Smoke it anyway. 40% of all car accidents are alcohol related. 2% of all car accidents are caused by all other drugs combined. You do the math. It sounds like a no brainer to me. Weed is the safest. Alcohol should be the illegal one. Did you know that at one time you could get opium, morphine and heroin over the counter. The govenment makes more money off the drugs when they become illegal. Its that simple. The government is the biggest drug dealer of all. They have laws that say you cant treat, cure or prevent disease without the use of drugs and/or surgery. They actually supress natural cures. The easy way to answer this is simple. When you cut your finger, it heals by itself. So the government says that is illegal since you didn't use drugs to fix the problem.

Smoke it up man.

???????? It's Illegel? I'm Tubin a Horker right now. Am I in truble? Seriously, Everyone has the right to put into their body what they want. The War on Drugs is a useless waste of time, resources, money, talent etc, etc. By every metric used it has been and will continue to be a failure. It is impossible to police the world. All of the "Wars" being waged today use noble motives as the reason for their existence. Terror, Poverty, Drugs, Iraq etc. I smoked Pot voraciously about twenty years ago. I haven't had the desire to touch it since. I stopped because it turned me into a globular mass that did not achieve much in that time. I did not stop because of the threat of incarceration. I know that it would take little effort to find a resource for it. It is everywhere around us so it seems our Noble War has had very little effect. I do not believe we have the right or power to physically stop people from using it and trying it let alone locking the up behind bars for the rest of their life. Can you think of anything more idiotic than spending over 50K a year to keep someone locked up? We pay for that. I believe education and personal responsibility for your own actions are the best defense. There are people that use it every day with little ill effects. Others are not so lucky. Medicinal Marijuana has great potential. In fact it has so much potential it probably poses a threat to established drug corporations that do not want it to be legalized (no patent). I hope it passes.

Yes I would and do.I am an active member in NORMAL.For those of you that dont know it stands for.National organization of the reformation of marijuana laws.
This is no more dangerous than these crazy drugs they are giving our kids. All this ridalin and crap.
It is gonna be a long hard road because right now.Although they would deny it,but government on all levels make big money off of weed.
Over 60% of people incarcerated in this country is for marijuana offenses.Prison is big business in this country. It is on the stock market with 6 billion dollars they made last year alone. If marijuana was legal. There goes half of the profits for them.
If it were disovered today it would be the miracle cure. There are more uses medically for marijuana than probably any other drug man made or natural.
The other problem on this matter is drug companies and beer companies mainly anheiser bush.Strong supporters of keeping it illegal. If it was legal. They would see a huge drop in profits. The drug companies that is.Beer companies I dont think would lose a whole lot, because people like there alcohol.
And as for your comments CJS.Drug cartels would no longer be able to.If it were legal we could grow our own safe weed and not rely on drug cartels.80% of pot smokers would grow there own.Or we would buy in America.Kentucky and the like.It could be government controlled and just the taxes alone could help pay for alot of programs that this country desperately needs.
If you legalized all drugs gang vilonce would cease overnight. But again government and drug companiew make to much money the way it is.And lets face it.Money is the main concern

Well Yes I would smoke it if it was legal, and Yes I smoke it even though its not legal. I figure I am not an alcoholic or a drug addict, so why not relax with a little herb.... It doesnt change my head to the point where I cant function properly like alcohol does. I can still work, and take care of my responsibilities...... I am definitely for legalizing MaryJane.

Happy Toking!! :o)

No. Two Reasons. 1. Long term lung cancer. 2. It would damage the economy of drugs and health sales of the U.S. Drug cartels would grow very rapidly. It is part of the government jobs to prevent drug cartels even when it is illegal. Image if it would be legal. Imagine a industry controlled by drug cartels that is already impossible to enforce laws against cartels. People would pay some high prices.

As long as you aren't hurting anyone else you should be able to do what you like.

But no I wouldn't smoke it. I think too much of it has a negative affect on memory and other cognitive skills, regardless of the benefits.

But if you want to smoke it. I honestly couldn't care less.

If marijuana was legal, what makes you think they would only smoke it at home? I don't see where the buds help back pain. Exercises helps back pain.
