Get yourself some legal aide! There is legal aide available in most cities (check your local courthouse or Women's Shelter). Once you have a lawyer, you should be able to put guidelines in place and start the divorce preceedings. If he's harassing you, get some things in place through your lawyer preventing him from doing so and if the issues are forced, get a restraining order. Like I said, women's shelters have a lot of resources and will be able to help you with these things. Good luck

I am a legal assistant here in Houston, Texas who helps people create their own forms so they do not have to hire an attorney if one is not needed. File an Original Petition for Divorce, see if your spouse agrees to divorce if he does he needs to sign a waiver if he doesn't you will have to have him served by a process server or a constable. Tx has a waiting period of 60 days to file your final divorce decree if he signed the waiver. If he does not sign the waiver he will have 20 days the following monday to file his answer if he does not answer the lawsuit. You need to file a Motion for Default and ask the court for a hearing date. Mail your spouse a certified letter including the motion and hearing date. If he does not appear to court that day they usually award you everything you are requesting since he did not answer and did not appear.

Go get your local phone book, now turn to Attorney's , go to ones that specialize in Family Law, then dial the number. I'm certain they will speak to you for free over the phone. If money is the issue go to your local District Attorney's Office, that's what they are there for. If you are being threatened go to your local Police Department and file a restraining order against the guy. Change your phone number including your cell number, let your landlord know (if you are a renter) what's going on, and let your employer know, this way everyone will be on the same page.
Don't just sit there... GET HELP!!
Good Luck

if he has threatened you in any way you can go in front of a judge...not to court...and file a "protective order" which differs from a restraining order.
It lasts for 2 years and you can go back to the judge before it is up and renew it.
You can only do that if he has threatened you or your kids if you have any with harm or harming your property.
The judge did one for me...after filling out the paperwork in the clerks office I went right up to the judge and she asked me a couple of questions, read the paperwork and granted it on the spot...the person was served within the hour and I have not seen them since.
Then go file for a divorce...if you don't have the money, there is legal aid...ask while you are at the courthouse.
BTW, the "protective order" does not cost a dime except a little bit of your time...less than an hour for me.

be cool...

You just need to call a lawyer and start divorce proceedings. Are you trying to work things out? Your husband might be getting mixed signals and thinking he is trying to work on your relationship. You just have to tell him point blank, it’s over, please leave me alone. If that doesn’t work, then call the police. You’ll have to document every time he calls you or shows up in order to get a restraining order.

call your lawyer ASAP and get a restraining order and get the divorce proceedings started. That should keep him off your back.
