john mayer, the mars volta, wolfmother, velvet revolver, the panic channel, and army of anyone.
satellite party's album is coming out this month and will probably be pretty good.
stone temple pilots and jane's addiction were great too.
they're all great bands but if you're looking for great voices, you're best bet out of the ones i mentioned is probably perry farrell (jane's addiction and satellite party) or cedric bixler-zavala (the mars volta). they both have great, rocking voices.

Many 70's rock icons still kick out the jams and have their official websites noting tour dates.
70's rock is making a huge fast comeback--hopes are it lasts.
Jet is fronting the effort, offering "Get What You Need"--which has a refreshing guitar sound and Black Crowes flavor to it.
Soundgarden, considered early alternative, had some impressive hits of their own---some close to 70's sound

Anything is possible and I'd love to see them play like they did in those days. The more teams that can be competitve can only make the EPL better. It's all a bit boring these days.

I don't know but Aerosmith is still touring and alot of the great 80s bands are touring. RATT is back with Stephen Pearcy so. And Black Sabbath is touring with Dio with Megadeth guest starring and you could go to the ozzfest.

When I think of great voices he was more of the 80's but I think of Steve Perry of Journey.

not sure if you consider "Sublime" present-day but i loved some of Brad Nowell's solos...crazy whacked out stuff.
as for voices..hmm...i think Bjork is a great singer...she can really rip it out...altho she's been around for a long time as well.
As for really new stuff? dunno i think Damian Marley is a great singer. No great guitarists come to mind...good question! gotta star this one.
