I suggest the island of Rhodos.. It is big enough so one never gets bored, fine beaches with esmerald blue - green waters, forests, every kind of entertainment for all ages, and on can never get jammed in the crowd of tourists, as it is a big island with many villages and a considerably large city. In addition, monuments of all history periods, from ancient greek to roman and from bysantine to medieval and turkish, famous and unique being the old medieval city of the Knights with its splendid Palace, the buildings and the fountains...A perfect place to start a common life with....

Santorini is excellent and you can find any accommodation you fancy but Santorini does not have any beaches to write home about. Mykonos ditto and with superb beaches. I mention these two islands because the also cater to honeymooners.
A lot depends on what kind of honeymoon you have in mind and when you are planning to take it. July-August is peak season so prices are up and finding appropriate accommodations is difficult. You could also stay in Athens and take day trips to the islands around Athens or take day trips to Epidaurus, Delphi etc, or take 2-3 day trips to places like Meteora, Pilio.
Greece might look small but it does have 6000 islands and over 15000km of coast line.
All of Greece has something to offer considering that the place has a history of over 12000 years of constant habitation by the same culture .
You will ave fun

Some island of the aegean, like Sifnos, Paros, Santorini, Mykonos would be great. Also Monemvasia is a good place (a medieval castle in the Peloponnese, where you can also go by sea from Athens), but it's best in the spring time, as there are no sandy beaches there(there is sea though). If you do go to monemvasia, make sure to book a hotel in the castle (Malvasia, Vyzantino, etc.)

When in honeymoon, ALL Greece is a ...honeyland!

I agree with Leonarda and Edoardo about Rhodes. It is one of our most wonderful islands.

Be happy. It can't be otherwise while in honeymoon and in Greece!

Check out: www.nyloo.com and choose by yourself. I would suggest the ionian islands (Zakynthos, Lefkada, Corfu), but have a look. You may be surprised by the hundred beautiful places we have.

Try northern Greece. Off the tourist track and much cheaper than the rest of the country.
