The author who writes Memories of another day

If the book was published since 1930, it is still under copywrite and scanning it would be illegal. I suggest you go to Amazon and look for a legal paper copy.

When you pirate a book or accept an illegal copy, you are stealing from the author and discouraging them from writing a new book. If you value the author's work, buy it. That's the only way we can keep them writing and not working day jobs.

You CAN get e-books free and legal from your library. Go to your library's website and check if they have the one your looking for. If they don't then email me and I'll let you use my library card to check out the e-book from my library. The beauty of checking out e-books from the library online is when the check out time expires they are automatically returned. Also since the library purchases the books the author still makes money.

If you get it from any of the p2p file sharing networks then it is illegal. Interestingly enough, the JK Rowling's and Stephen King's of the world make a good living even though their books are traded on those regularly.

You cannot. Recent books are all copyrighted and they are only available on-line with the permission of the author, very rarely given, and for a cost. It's what copyrights are all about.
