LOL, that was such a long time ago! Jim Carrey got his start on a sketch comedy show called In Living Color, which was sort of like Saturday Night Live or MAD TV. The first one is a character called Fire Marshall Bill, who always ends up getting a body part blown off and then laughing hysterically, and the other one is a character called Vera, who is supposed to be the ultra-buff female host of a workout show. If you want to see Jim Carrey in more In Living Color episodes, they have them on DVD now.

They are from Living Color, early 90's sketch comedy show that was a Big hit for a few years when I was in high school. Wayans Bro's mostly (Keenan Ivory, Marlon, Damon), but Jim Carrey's characters along with Homey the Clown kept me watching !

Oh and don't forgett the Fly Girls =)

It wasn't the beginning of his career, but a big step up for him getting national recognition.

Rodney Dangerfield (discovered) and Damon Wayans (good buddies, made couple movies before Living Colour) can both be credited for helping him make his mark in Showbiz in the early to mid 80's

In the first video of them in the ship the characters name that Jim Carrey is playing is Fire Marshal Bill. This was a popular character that Jim Carrey played when he was on In Living Colour.
The character in the second video is too obvious as the name is mentioned in the title of the video as well as in the video itself, Vera De-Milo. I didn't see this character as being as popular as Fire Marshal Bill, but it was still funny nonetheless. :)

I don't do links, but I'm betting it's In Living Color (sketch show from the 90s). Pretty funny show.
