It can go into your lungs but without you knowing it? No. First of all you would have FELT it had it entered your lungs. Swallowing it is a distinct possibility. But if it is stuck in the back of your nose out of reach and they have to put your to sleep you will be well taken care off. Doctors as a general rule dont put you to sleep unles they have to. And generally wont do it in their office. Doing that recquires that you fast for at least 8 hours or so. So, if they want to do that to you, you will have plenty of warning. Hope this helps!

actually i think it could go into your lungs if the area where your digestive and respiratory tract cross..but there is a little flap of skin there that prevents this from happening..that is why we choke sometimes on food but i am sure you will be fine...if the doctor wants to put you to sleep then thats what you have to do..if you want a second opinion you can always see another doctor or call in a hospital or something and see what they say..good luck and maybe a suggestion is to not have a nose ring.

No it cant go into your lungs...as that is a sperate passage from your food supply...
...think about swollowing food when your eating...it doesnt go to your lungs but rather travels to your stomach.

Being put to sleep is scary if you have never done it before..
...but it is painless!!
You wake up with no pain or memory of events in the surgery and actully believe that you had in fact never been into surgery..(i know this from experience)...you will be fine.

Would any one fairly pay attention to a caution? Everytime any one warned me, I used to be like 'yeah correct' and contiued. Just what number of humans have truthfully acquired harm strolling with sharp gadgets? almost always fewer than the ones hit crossing a avenue. So possibly you will have to cross out and yell on the humans jaywalking eh?'smile'~~Peace~~

this back, is it metal? if it is, all it will take is an xray to find it, if it is still inside your nose, throat or digestive tract. If it were in your lungs you would know it, any foreign object in the airway or lungs causes intense coughing.
