well for the year 2007 superman is famous for the new fossil found by scientist.. Its the "kryptonite" which was just an imaginary fossil that weaken superman's powers in Superman comic book series.. it was all imaginary until finally this year scientist found an exact match of "kryptonite" fossil.. this fossil have the similarities of kryptonite-- which i thought its really cool...
