I use Clean & clear Morning Burst facial bar & astringent b/c of the matte look it gives me; so I'm thinking of using the MaryKay Velocity moisturizer. Earlier, i was using neutrogena line of products with MK Sun Essentials sun block but my face still felt oily especially after using the Neutrogena alcohol-free toner followed by the Sunblock as moisturizer.I want to know if the Velocity moisturizer is lighter than the sunblock.

You should really try the Arbonne products. You'll be much happier with them. I know quite a few people who used to use MaryKay and have switched over to Arbonne because they are just better products. Check it out at:

Thought I don't have the experience as the person above I find it hard to understand her belief that Mary Kay Velocity $22 system that last 3 - 4 month as being $$$ I do agree that the Proactive does dry your skin out most people I know tried it and found it only worked a short time and found it very drying. I think you need to have very oily skin this sytem was designed for the extream blemish problems. I don't know enough about the others to comment but I can tell you Mary Kay is a try before you buy product that is 100% guarenteed so you can try for yourself.

Anything is better then store bought. There's a reason it's semi-cheap. Yes the moisturizer is light...I wouldn't use only the moisturizer...I would switch to both cleansing and moisture...I didn't have good luck with Velocity because my face was oilier then it could handle, but it did make my skin look nice because it balanced out other problems.. I now use Avon Porefection, and it helps a lot. If you're under 25 the Avon clear skin line is a God send.
Be aware that the products you are using can cause the skin to overreact and produce more oil from the constant stripping and drying effects of store bought junk (they know how to make a good commercial to get you to buy it). You may have great luck with Velocity. Just remember to be completely faithful to morning and night! If you skip cleansing often, it can't do it's job. All products will fail you in some way if you don't use them as instructed.

This is a great product line. I don't buy much Mary Kay because it's too expensive, but all the Velocity products are amazing. The Facial Cleanser & Lightweight Moisturizer do a great GREAT job clearing up my acne.

The velocity line contains fragrance and to much acid, which in return will alter your skin. I always try to review the ingredients in the product. I like when people like what they pay for!!! This is why maybe I'll never be rich! Anyway, if you want to go w/the mary kay line, go for the (Age-Fighting Time Wise moisturizer spf 15). It's not oily and having the spf means you can cut on facial product layering. Even though it's age fighting, it's safer to use this one than the velocity packed with fragrance and acid.

I don't care for Mary Kay. I used a facial mask once and got bumps all over my face.
