Taking the herb feverfew helps migraines. I used to get terrible migraines two or three times a month. I bought some at Walmarts and started taking a couple of them morning and evening. It took about a month, but I started getting less headaches until they were pretty infrequent.

After I went through menopause, I didn't get them as much, so I stopped taking the feverfew. I don't get many now, so I think mine were triggered by hormones every month.

You may want to keep a diary to see if there is anything in particular that triggers them, like stress, or a certain food, or hormones.

I would also suggest cutting back on the pop. 1.5 liters a day is a lot. Do it gradually. It sounds like you may be getting caffeine headaches. Your body gets used to a lot of caffeine, and when you don't get it, you start to go through withdrawal, and you get a blinding headache. This happened to my mother-in-law years ago.

I'm not sure that Walmarts has too many herbs any more. But a Walgreen's or Rite Aide may carry them. If not, you can order them online. http://www.vitaminexpress.com is a good place to order from.

Hope this helps!

Me too. Recently I've had them almost cease. I was having them almost every day and now they have went down to a few a month.

The one thing I think that has made a difference, is the "rebound" affect. You get that from caffeine as well as meds you may take. There's even a book out about this. You should stop all meds, and gradually cut down on your soda. Or if you go cold turkey, expect a few days of pain. Same with meds. Suffer through without ANY meds and when it goes away, you may see a difference. Try suffering through your next 2-3 headaches without taking anything and see if this helps. I honestly believe this helped me.

Another idea. Make a food allergy chart. When you get a headache, jot down what you ate 30 min- 1 hour before. See if theres a pattern. Watch ingredients in your food such as wheat, which is also related to asthma and itching.

Good luck hon.

Everyone gave a great answer, and the soda could be the cause as well. I also get these migraines and it could be vitamin deficiency (now i take multivitamins), stress, or too much caffeine. I've tested a few theories as the vitamins are working, but i do get a slight headache and I've cut back a lot on the soda as well. I still have stress (who doesn't) so that could be a cause. out of curiosity, how are your teeth? if you have an absence tooth, that will definitely give you frequent migraines and other pains as well.

Hey, I'm 17 and I had the same problem for quite a while. I hate taking medicine, and never had a shot, so I went with a natural approach. I got off of caffeine; apparently, it had been causing basically all of my pain. Another good remedy is to sip cold water, and use a heat pack for your forehead to alleviate the migraines. Within a few days, you should be feeling a lot better.

Also, try drinking herbal tea. It helps :).

I started getting Migraines when I was 14. Pretty regularilly and very painful. Doctor gave me some heavy duty painkillers and like you, i was concerned they might be damaging me.

After a serious bout, i was getting a prescription from the pharmacy and he asked me if i ate a lot of pork a chocolate and caffiene. Of course I did, I was a university student at the time..... Well says he, it seems that the toxins from each and all of these slowly build up over a while before causing a massive migraine. I cut them all out, and now i have 1 migraine a year if i'm unlucky!!!!

Trust me, it really works.

I would say it may have to do with blood pressure. Some migraines are due to blood flow, which could explain the dizziness also. No matter what see a doctor right away. If your doctor is not available try and explain to them your concerns or see another doctor. Also drink plenty of water and reduce stress. With my migraines I've learned that if I try and relax when I feel one coming on it seem to be less painful. I'd also watch your salt intake. But see a doctor right away

I have had serious problems with headaches and migraines all through out my life and my friend got me started on X20 and it has really straightened out my headaches. I never get them any more, and it does loads of other good things for you. You can go to:

www.xoomaworldwide.com/krystynasherrer

and research the product and in the product you can link to testimonies and at the bottom of the page you can search for key words and type in headaches and migraines and you can see how it has helped other people too. It also does many other great things for you and it is not that much. Look into it. It is great.

Caffeine headaches maybe. i had them whe i drank soda and did not have it, or when i got up. It is very bad for you.

Try white willoe bark, it is what they originally derived aspirin from. and no side effects

Try doing a full body cleanse. Apple cider vinegar is a good start 2 tbsp 3 x a day

Lots of vitamin c and b complex.

Also check with your eye doctor. Needing glasses can cause severe migraines because of the strain on the eye, a lot of times in preeteen and teens, most time u do not need the glasses but for a couple of years :)

I also suffered from Migranes. I found out that mine were related to a Vitamin B deffincy. Now that I am current on all my vitamin B's, every once in a while I still get a bad headache, not necessarily a migrane, but a head ache.

I, too, don't like taking pills. I have found that soaking your hands in HOT, as hot as you can stand it, water for about 30 minutes gets rid of mine.

Hope this helps!!

I know several people who take a vitamin b-2 pill each day to help with migraines.
