I too had two miscarriages, one at 8 weeks and one at 10 weeks, these happened 9 years ago and I never thought I would get over it. Everytime someone announced they were pregnant I thought my heart would break, I could feel no joy for them, only my own sadness. I truly thought I would never be able to carry a child full term, that there must be something wrong with me. But in 2002 I fell pregnant after waiting a few years for fear of going through it all again. On sept 30th 2002 I gave birth to Ben. Then in April 2005 I had Polly. All I can say is don't give up. Be positive, I wish you the best of luck.

Miscarraiges are more common that people think, around 50% of all pregnacies result in a miscarridge, most of these go unnoticed occuring before the first period is even missed.
of the pregnancies that are detected around 1 in 5 result in a miscarriage. there are many reasons for this, it can be the body's natural way to get rid of a unviable conception i.e there is something wrong with the cells as the multiply, it could be that they have become damaged as a result of a fall or a reaction to medication. but no one knows exactly why they all happen.
I know it is very upsetting for the couple involved it is far more common that most people think. if you are worried then why not go and talk to your GP or practice nurse to be on the safe side.
I hope you are sucessful on your next attempt.

My deepest sympathy to you for the loss of your babies. Please don't give up. You never said how far along you were?
I have had 3 miscarriages (possibly more although maybe too early to detect). First miscarriage at 13 weeks, second at 16 weeks and third at 12 weeks. I was referred to a miscarriage clinic run by St James Hospital in Leeds where my husband and I both gave blood for genetic testing. It was discovered that I have so called 'sticky blood'. This causes my blood to clot in pregnancy and for me to miscarry. There was a simple remedy to this which was a low dose aspirin everyday up until 36 weeks. I am now the proud Mummy to my 10 month old daughter.
Please see your doctor as you may be eligible to be referred to a miscarriage clinic. I wish you every success for the future. Please do not give up hope. I am proof that miracles do happen. Lol xxx

hi sorry to hear your bad news. i tried for about 6 years to get pregnant. when we went for tests my husband was told he had a really low sperm count, though he had a son from a previous relationship. i was gutted. i was due to go back the following month for tests on my tubes. but fell pregnant obviously overjoyed as i had given up hope after the low count. but sadly after weeks of bleeding and the doctor assuring me i was still pregnant i suffered a molar pregnancy and they had to perform a D&C its rather complicated but can be highly dangerous.(the mole)
I was devestated and then told i had to be tested weekly then fortnightly and so on until my hormone level returned to normal it took a year before they told me i could try again.
i didnt know if i could face going through it again the chance of it reoccuring!
but 5 months later i fell pregnant and had a baby girl she is four now.
then feeling blessed and thinking we would not be lucky enough to have another in the middle of arranging my wedding i fell pregnant again. we rearranged the wedding and had our beautiful boy and got married 7 wks later. he is 4 months now and i never thought i would have 1 never mind 2 georgeous children. things happen when u least expect. and your time will come. wishing you all the luck and happiness you deserve.

fortunatly, most miscarages are for unknown reasons. A woman who has 4-5 may be labled a habitual miscarrier, but most women go on to have normal pregnancies. Maybe talk to a fertility specialist and get blood work done to rule out any genetic conditions you or you partner may have that are impacting you ability to carry. Good luck

I have had 3 and I have 2 living children. Since you've had 2 already you are at a greater risk. It doesn't mean you will have another though. I'd talk to your dr about your concerns. Most dr's won't do tests until you've had a 3rd one but some dr's are more sympathetic.

you may want to go to a fertility doctor to see what could be causing the miscarriages. I had a miscarriage 3 years ago and when we've been trying and no luck, we went to a fertility doctor, turns out that my husband's sperm wasn't up for the count. they told me that my miscarriage was luck and that's why nothing has happened since.

I HAD A LITTLE GIRL WITH NO PROBLEMS THEN, I HAD THREE. ONE RIGHT AFTER I FOUND OUT I WAS PREGNANT AND ONE 3 MONTHS PREGNANT AND ONE ALMOST 4 MONTHS PREGNANT. I HAD A TON OF TESTS RAN (THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG) SO AS SOON AS I FOUND OUT I WAS PREGNANT AGAIN I STARTED USING PROGESTORONE VAGINAL SUPPOSITORIES. FOR THE FIRST SEVERAL MONTHS AND I CARRIED MY BABY BOY TO TERM THEN DID IT AGAIN ABOUT 9 MONTHS LATER WHEN I GOT PREGNANT WITH ANOTHER LITTLE BOY. MY DOC SAID THERE REALLY WASN'T ALOT OF STUDY DONE ON IT THAT PROVED IT HELPED BUT THAT IT CERTAINLY WOULDN'T HURT ANYTHING. I DEFINITELY THINK THAT THE PROGESTERONE IS WHY I HAD 2 HEALTHY BABIES AFTER 3 MISCARRIAGES. BY THE WAY MY PROGESTERONE LEVELS LOOKED OKAY ON MY TESTS THEY HAD DONE ON ME. GOOD LUCK!
