Why does one person have to be better than another? Thats were hate, prejudice, envy, bigotry all stem from.

Nothing at all. No one's better than anyone. Some people may have better QUALITIES than others, but that's where it begins and that's where it ends. We all have imperfections, weaknesses; negative traits. Regardless of what we look like or what we have, we're all worth the same in the long run.

And in a perfect world everyone would believe that but becouse of societal norms, family values and media we as people tend to be very judgemental and place a cast system on people becouse of race, religion, education, behaviours etc etc. Its wrong but highly unlikely to ever change.

You are talking about comparison. We often feel down when we look up, but when we look down, we often feel up.

When you are down, you should look at those who are less fortunate, when you are too high up, you should also look at those who are less fortunate. It is how you see things.
