Steels, coins (generally, most of the coins are made of alloys of iron, but if its an alloy of copper, then, the coin would be non-magnetic).I'm not sure about Iron oxide, but I think it is magnetic, because any how , it contains the transition metal iron with unpaired electrons, so iron oxide is also magnetic.

Steel (most forms) Iron Oxide is not magnetic. Some steels are not magnetic. There are two types of stainless steel in common use in industry. When they are new, they look very much alike. Inspectors trying to determine what a piece of equipment is made of can tell by sight if it is stainless steel, but use a magnet to determine which type it is.

Steel and iron oxide (rust) can be attracted by a magnet. It is not correct to call them "magnetic."

I don't know of any modern coins that are made of a material that can be attracted by a magnet. I do know that the counterfeit coin detectors in vending machines have magnets in them to reject coins that could be attracted by a magnet.
