I think wasting time is always making the wrong decisions. For example, you take a job that is not great and not really what you want. Years go by and you are still at this job and still not doing what you want. Maybe you thought in the beginning that it would be to hard to go after what you really wanted. But now all these years have passed and you have to start over again. My advice: Go after what you want from the beginning. Follow your heart and your dreams. Don't let anyone or anything stand in your way. If you still don't have it then die trying.

If you had of read the whole news article it said that a blood transfusion would not have saved her life anyway. This means that the whole issue is mute. Of course that wont stop the ones sensationalizing the whole thing and trying to hang the blame on the Jehovah Witnesses. The fact is (and ALL people that have an operation must face) that sometimes things go wrong , and when they go wrong , there is often nothing that can be done. Additionally it must also be recognized that Jehovah's Witnesses have fought hard for the medical rights and freedom that YOU yourself enjoy today.

Humans "operate" in three major areas: being, doing, and having. This culture is very big on the latter two, and knows very little about "just" being.

Each culture "programs" its "members" in its ways. The concept of "wasting time" is very popular in cultures where just enjoying the fun of being alive is viewed as heretical and "dysfunctional". Unless you're very busy, very productive, and have a lot, you are seen as somehow "less than".

In fact, this culture is dysfunctional, i would suggest. When you can just be, "wasted" time" is never an issue. Whatever you are doing in the moment is "just fine", (and that includes while at work, while shopping for something, etc) A shift in consciousness and perception is required--beyond the programming, to arrive at this focus. I believe the Buddha would agree.

"wasting time" is a completely subjective phenomenon. what constitutes wasting time to one person may not be for another. you have to decide for yourself what "nonsense" is and then not participate in it despite what anyone else says. the most important thing is that you are happy with what you are doing and that you let no one ever tell you you're wasting time when you in fact feel quite contented. "wasting time" does stem from inability to make up ones mind about what one should be doing and requires a lot of deep thinking to rectify.

Spend more precious time together without interruptions. Turn off the TV, the computer, go sit outside on the porch and appreciate time together with someone. Better memories happen when there aren't distractions. Even if it's only a few minutes, it makes a difference.

"I don't want not to waste time" is a double-negative, therefore you're saying that you DO want to waste time. In that case I recommend spending lots of time playing World of Warcraft and hanging out at Yahoo Answers. :-)

Its subjective. Wasting time for you is any time spent not doing what you would really like to be doing or it could be spending time doing something that you have to do because you have no choice.

Any time spent in thought and reflection is NOT wasted time. We are programmed to think we must be DOing something. Not true. Italians have a saying, "Dulce far niente" Sweet dong nothing

wasting time can only be determined by you. if your priority in life is just to make money, then chillin with your friends is wasting time to you. however, if your priority in life is to have as much fun as possible with your friends with little or no concern of monitary gain, then having a job may be wasting time to you....
your priorities may be triggered by your living situation....if i have just 1 month to live, then working is a waste of time.
