Okay so it's been 11 weeks into my ear piercing and i've already changed the studs from the original one 3 times now, i just wanted to ask, when would it be okay for me to start wearring hoops or dangly earrings? Do i have to wait 5 months or a year or something? ALSO one more question, how often should i change my studs? Thankyou. x

According to the leaflet I got when they stabbed mine:

Leave the studs in the ears for 6 weeks continuously (12 weeks for cartilage)

After 6 weeks (12 weeks for cartilage), the stud can be removed and another post type earring may be worn continuously.

Use only post-style earrings continuously for the first 6 months from piercing, the post should be surgical stainless steel or other hypo-allergenic material.

I didn't and I was okay. I would just be very cautious. Don't get hoops that are too big or earring the are heavy. Your ears are still sensitive and you don't want anything to pull or irritate your ears. If you decide to wear hoops or dangle earrings I suggest bringing a pair or studs with you. If your ears become irritate you can replace them with studs. As for changing you studs you can change them as little or as often as you want as long you keep them clean. I would just keep some type of earring in your ear (at all times) for at least a year.

I have 6 pierceings in each ear and one cartilage. I was told to leave the stud that's inserted during piercing in 5 months, turn them 3 times every day, and use the solution they gave me. It's been a year now and everything is fine. I now can wear whatever I want.

11 weeks. You can change your earrings whenever you want now. As long as you are healed you can wear whatever whenever. Just make sure you buy jewelry that you aren't allergic to..
Have fun!
P.S I like to put neosporin on the back of my post every once in a while. It's good right after you healed. To keep you ear free from infection!
And don't share/wear new jewelry till you have disinfected it!

as soon as you're allowed to take out the earrings that you were pierced with you can start using any other types of earrings, including hoops. I would just make sure I cleaned all of my earrings, before putting them in my ears w/ alcohol, so that they're disinfected. you don't want to infect your ears by putting in dirty earrings. change them as often as you like. that's up to you. just make sure they're ALWAYS clean.
