After the worldcup, I am seeing lot of comments in this forum about the use of squash ball by Gilchrist. I hope every body will appreciate the fact that it is for the first time it has been come to light that a player has used squash ball in his gloves and that too people came to know when Gilchrist himself gas revealed that he has used the squash ball. If using the squash ball was against the rule or if he used it for the purpose of cheating I wonder whether he would have disclosed that he had used squash ball.

Further, those who have watched his batting will realise that his innings was not at all a chanceless innings and he could have got out on couple of occasions. There was no guarantee when he used the squash ball that he would be able to score heavily with the help of the ball.

I am not at all trying to justify anybody by this statement, but only making an impartial statement.

As far as your Question Gilchrist + Squash Ball are equal to Afridi, I beg to differ with you as Gilchrist is known to be a hard hitter even without the use of a squash Ballas has been proved by him on many occasions in the past.

what's skill! the skill is what can take a gane removed from you. a lot of those batsmen have performed it on numerous events. yet i think of Gilchrist would nicely be seen 2 B the main consistent hitter. look, Afridi is in basic terms a slogger. Commonly I can tell you this.

Afridi is no way compared to Gilchrist. Its hard to compare. Gilchrist is a keeper too. He important in the fielding period and in the Batting period. Gilchrist can smash, he has smashed muralidharan in the finals. In the first over he controlled Gilchrist, but in the next over Gilchrist smashed so much that the ball went to the last seat of the stadium. You cant expect this from Afridi, he will just come and swing the bat. He doesnt have patience, like compared to Gilchrist. If Afridi had been in that place, he might hit few sixes, but in that same over, he might had been dismissed too, by murali.

And y Gilchrist cheats. Did he uses a weighted bat than others or did he fix steel inside of his bat. Then y call him cheater. :p. Gilchrist rules. And look at our team INDIA. damn, its shame, and they are going again to bangladesh to get beated up. Some one please stop them. :(.
