I am just curious. My husband and I want a surprise, so we don't know whether we are having a girl or boy. A lot of people are very surprised by our decision, and I was curious to find out how many of you want the surprise.

I feel like I am having a boy, but I really have no idea!

I think I am having a boy... because... well, I don't know why. It's just my instinct (but it could be wrong!) This is my first and my husband and I know we want more children, so we figured it would be best to do unisex nursery and everything so that we could use it with the next child. We are planning on a jungle themed nursery with monkeys and everything! My in-laws think I am having a girl and my mom thinks it's a boy. It's a lot of fun to have everyone argue about whether it is a girl or boy! We have a name for both genders picked out, so now it's just waiting for the baby to say hello to the world.

I'm with you i don't want to know.
I'm due in 18 days and everyone asks "do you know what your having?" and i just think am i the only one left who does not know what they are having?

I think the moment they say "its a boy or its a girl" is a gift after all that pain and pushing. Of course even if you know what your having your child is still a gift. But I prefer my gifts to be surprises more exciting that way i think.

Like you i too feel I'm having a boy. But i will be happy with either. I already have a wonderful daughter and another would be a blessing too.
Good luck and enjoy your surprise :)

I am 22 weeks along and just found out last week that I am having a boy. I was convinced I was having a girl, even bought girl stuff. The Chinese gender prediction chart on 3 different sites all said girl. According to old wives tales (cravings, how I was carrying, etc), I was having a girl. But according to the Mayan gender prediction chart and the necklace test, I was having a boy.
I was a little surprised when the sonographer said it was a boy, but totally excited of course.
Also, I opted for the surprise with my first. My son is now 12. But I remember feeling a little frustrated when shopping before he was born. Now I see there is even less to choose from for neutral colors, so I am glad I found out early this time.

My fiance and I couldn't wait to find out the sex of our baby. I was sick of calling my baby "It" (reminds me of Stephen King's novel) and we were eager to start shopping for baby clothes in that specific gender. I also wanted to know if I was having a boy or a girl so I could keep a journal about my dreams, hopes and wishes for my baby and it would be easier if I knew I was having a boy or girl. I ended up with a BOY and I love writing entries like, "I can't wait until you join Little League and hit your first home run!" Also, by knowing the gender, I feel like I have a closer bond to my child. FYI: I wanted a girl so badly but ended up with a boy and when I began having dreams about a baby boy, my instincts told me I was right even before my first ultrasound. Congrats and good luck!

I had an amnio with both pregnancies, so I was able to find out the sex each time with no question about the accuracy of the results. The first time, I honestly didn't want to know. However, my husband did and he can't keep a secret to save his life. After finding out, it was nice to be able to get the nursery all ready. This time I wanted to know. My daughter will only be 25 months when her new brother arrives, so being pregnant with a toddler has it's challenges. It's much easier on us to get everything prepared ahead of time and help prepare our daughter for her new baby brother. Best wishes.

I am 36 weeks with my first boy, I have 2 girls. I knew as soon as I found out I was pregnant that this one was a boy, everything about this pregnancy has been different than my other two. With my first we didn't know, because she wouldn't cooperate and let us see!! It was a nice suprise, I wanted a girl. This time I wanted a boy, and got him:)

My husband and I both "knew" it was a girl the whole time. Bought girls clothes picked girls names. After 2 ultrasounds they said it is a boy!!!! Threw us for a loop! We are as excited as ever! I think it is awesome that you can wait. I have been dying to know what it was since the moment I found out I was pregnant!

I'm currently 27 weeks pregnant with my second little girl. I was excited and I would have been excited if it was a little boy. I have a sister and we are four years apart and are really close she is my best friend and I always said growing up that I wanted two little girls and I wanted them to be as far apart as my sister and I. Well we tried for a year for our second daughter and it happened in time for them to be a far apart in age as my sister and I are. I knew all along that both of my babies where girls!!! God Answered my Prayers!!

I kinda wanted to not find out, but it makes more sense for us financially to find out... I don't know yet, but I have my first ultrasound on Monday The 14th! I can't wait, it is gonna be a great mothers day present :)

Oh, and if this child is a girl (we already have 2 boys) then on our next child we will not find out, because then we will allready have stuff for a boy or a girl.......

I'm 14 wks and i can't wait to find out especially because this is my first. We might wait for the second. But i have this strange feeling that because we want to know sooooo bad, that when i go for the scan, the baby isn't going to cooperate. lol... i hope that's not the case... i support your decision... that keeps all the mystery and element of surprise in it! :) Good luck!
