danksprite...who where how was reffering to the context in which you met them and realised they were smart etc...
I asked you who's the smartEST you know... by saying everyone around you is smart can mean two things:
1. you are very stupid
2. you are fantastically lucky.

danksprite, this is my morbid curiosity...i wasn't attacking you, im sorry you felt that way...this is the way i usually am - i can't stand aggressivity directed towards me out of the pure desire to look smart. i simply asked who's the smartest (SIC!! I'll make it a word!) person you know, you didn't have to give me a whole semantics lesson there...

I was in a class he taught and have never had a teacher before or since who could make very complicated things seem so simple.

One of my chemistry profs in college (I'm a junior). He was brilliant at chemistry, but he also had amazing social skills. He was kind, but so brilliant that I felt intimidated at the same time whenever I was around him. He had this aura about him--not intentional, not like a stuck-up air. But you could just tell that you were in the presence of someone very intelligent in all aspects--not just intellectually, but also socially and emotionally. He was in his 60's, I think. An amazing guy--I'll never forget Dr. Pennington.
