Depending on your circumstances, the reaction can be either good or bad. But hopefully, no matter the circumstances, they will stand behind you.

If you're an adult (21 or older) what do you care what your family thinks or feels. You should be focusing on how you feel about this baby. Is this what I want? Am I ready for this responsiblity? Am I ready to devote my whole life (well the next 21 years atleast) to someone else? Am I ready and willing to give up the things in life I like and want to do? (cause when you have that child, you can't do all the things you normally do unless it benifits that child.) If by chance you don't answer "yes, I am" to all these questions or you have to hesitate before you can answer & realize these are only a few questions you should be wondering and asking yourself . Then may be your real question should have been" What should my reaction be when I find/found out I'm pregnant?" Because ultimately, it's about you and that child....not your family.

Happiness... elation... excitement. Those are the ones I know I'd want! :)

Of course... it all depends on the situation. If you are a young teen, unmarried... etc... then there may be a few problems in your announcement. I hope that this pregnancy came out of good circumstances.

Seeing as how you have a male icon, I'd say they'd be surprised, disgusted, and ready to cash in on the millions you'll make by being teh first pregnant man.

If you were in my family, not married and pregnant, you could expect a foot in your @ss. No reason to get pregnant if you don't want to.
