The site owners buy their electricity from Scottish Power and we all know that cost have gone down this year so I can see no justification for this increase.

As far as i know its illegal!
Their not allowed to make a profit on utilities but i would ask Citizens Advice first just to make sure!

Don't know about the UK but as far as I know it's legal because you have the option of moving. Most of the eastern U.S. have certain regs. that prevent industry from overcharging but with landlords it's their option. Since most renters here pay the bill directly to the power co. it's determined by the amt. used. There's a set rate per unit of power so use less, your bill is less & vice versa.

You can get on a budget plan here though that figures out your home or apt's annual usage & divides it by 12 & so you have the same bill every month.

We're all getting sc@$#ed by the oil companies but there is little you can do. But if the park is reselling it where everyone pays the same regardless of useage or profitting as well I think I'd move.

I'm with Scottish Power (i live in a 2 bedroom house) My bill is over £2,000 a year, I think that's high. How much is your bill now in money terms?

It would seem the owners of these Park Home sites are a law unto themselves.

They can do jusr about anything they like,all the suppliers are the same,powergen was supposed to be good but we dont find them very good or proffesional.

I do not believe this is legal.Check with local citizens advice /council offices they should be able to help.
