I was tested positive For Group B Strep. I am getting induced on the 14th (as I just posted) and they are starting me out on antibiotics. Has anyone had experience with this, and can you tell me how it went?

My first was a preemie, so I was given anti-biotics. Ask your doc if eating tons of yogurt now will help to prevent both yeast for you and thrush for the baby.

I tested positive with my first pregnancy. I had IV antibiotic throughout my labor and delivery. Everything turned out just fine, had a big healthy baby girl!
I tested negative this pregnancy. 19 days to go and I'm READY! good Luck and congrats!

I had it with my last pregnancy. They just give you antibiotics during labor. No biggy. I had 2 bags and then my perfect baby. I don't have it this time which is nice since I had 2 different IVs last time (LOTS of fluids for preeclampsia). Other than that it was fine. Good luck

It is really quite common, and no big deal. They put the antibiotics in an iv-drip, and you will not even notice it with everything else going on. Good luck!

I tested + for GBS when I was pg with my son. Everything was fine, I was treated with antibiotics via IV when I was in labor. As long as it's treated, things are okay. :)

yes and all they do is give you an iv in your arm and it stops it from transferring to the baby when you have it. and everything went fine for me
