I have to pick up my baby up from day care. I do not mind working from as ealy as 6:30 to 4:30. I will be professional at my work place and not make the "I have a baby excuse" to miss deadlines. How should I tell my new employer about my work schedule. I have seen in my previous companies that mothers left early from work but got in early. None of the employers seem to have a problem.
Please help me.,

If the normal quitting time for this new job is 5:00, it would have been a real good idea to mention your problem to them when you accepted the job. Just because some other employer didn't have a problem with it doesn't mean it will be acceptable at this new job.

Tell them now - or rather, ask them if it would be OK. They might be OK with it, might not. You say you'll be professional - you already haven't been, by accepting a job if you can't meet the stated requirements, then just expecting them to go along with it. You don't just get to "tell your new employer about your work schedule". THEY are the ones who tell YOU what the work schedule is - that's called being an employee. If they say OK, great - if they say no, then you have a decision to make, make other arrangements for having the baby picked up, or look for a different job.

Good luck. Tell them NOW. With a little luck, they'll be OK with it, but they have no obligation to go along with your proposed schedule. Many companies have instituted flexible schedules for child care and other reasons - but if they had, they'd probably have mentioned it in your interview or when they offered you the job.

I would have a problem finding that out after the hiring. Our office, a medical clinic, does not have regular ending time. We "try" for 5:00 and pray we make it close to that, but if each day someone had to up and start leaving early we would be in a mess. Our day ends when we get thru....5:30 - 6:30 or even 7:00 .and we begin at 8:00 in morning.
Best talk to the company now and since you offer to come early it will be ok, I hope so for your sake and the babies.

You have heavy responsibilities, and it can't be easy having to work and care for a baby at the same time. I feel for you and wish you the best. My concern is that you should have already settled these issues with the employer BEFORE you accepted the position. How is it possible that all of this didn't come up in your discussions about the job and your responsibilities? Frankly, it could be too late to address all of these issues.
