I am truly sorry for any mother inn that 4-5% of women who truly CANNOT breastfeed.

That being said... They don't both work the same! That is guilt talking. You know that it is a disservice to babies to receive processed artificial foods made from milk meant for an animal with four stomachs. Formula was never meant to feed the babies of moms who just can't be bothered. It was created for those that absolutely otherwise die without it.

Fact is humans evolved to drink milk from their mothers, just like all mammals. This last century has done a great disservice to our species as we are in danger of losing the basic knowledge of HOW TO FEED OUR CHILDREN.

Just think of how many babies would have survived the natural disasters of the last few years if their mothers had fed them in a biologically appropriate manner.

It is more than just a personal choice. The person most directly affected by the "choice" (the baby) gets no say in the matter. The result is another generation of people forgetting how to feed their babies, or giving up at the slightest problem, and counting on the government and medical community to pick up the slack of their selfish decision.

I have breastfed for 5+ years so far and my boobs are not saggy, as if that were a legitimate reason for depriving my kids of their birthright of HUMAN MILK!

Formula is an artificial version of breast milk. They still can't get it to be as nutritious as breastmilk... They don't both work the same, but if you feel better thinking that way then thats ok. Its your baby not mine. But don't let your opinion cloud the facts. Its not the same.

1. Breastfeeding your baby supplies your baby with antibodies that formula cannot.
2. Breastfeeding does create an irreplaceable bond with your baby.
3. You will lose much more weight (and quicker) while breastfeeding.
4. Breastfeeding is FREE.
5. You don't need to buy, wash, warm, store, or lug around bottles and nipples, and the cleaning supplies, and the ice packs, etc.
6. Breastfeeding is how God intended babies to be fed. He didn't create our bodies to make milk for no reason.

EDIT - I'm not saying that formula is bad for a baby and I'm not saying that every mom has the perfect opportunity to breastfeed... but that doesn't mean you can go around misleading people. Breastfeeding is not the same. Stick to facts, don't just spread around your opinion.

Breastfeeding IS better. Its been scientifically proven time & time again. It doesn't mean that a formula fed infant is going to be sick all the time or dumb, it just means that they are at greater risk for different health problems. That is primarily where breastfeeding has its advantage, aside from cost. There are also benefits to the mother as well.

However it is a personal choice for every mother to make herself. I personally don't see why you wouldn't if you could. I couldn't so yes my little one is formula fed but I would much rather breastfeed.

And breastfeeding is a million times easier than formula.

Not to mention you make no note of how long you exclusively breastfed the first.

This does not in any respect finish the components vs breastfeeding debate. You're simply placing extra gas within the hearth. If you don't want an excuse "and why do you wish to have an EXCUSE to components feed" then why did you supply your excuse "If I mentioned that i components feed through option - and my option being that i've performed it due to the fact that i used to be unprepared to be a mommy and had such a lot anxiousness approximately it... additionally to postpartum melancholy.. I components fed so i would take remedy to aid me furnish my son with the first-class care. And in order that my husband would aid - who additionally suggestion in our crisis components feeding might be first-class." I breastfed my daughter for a whilst and stopped for a motive that's no ones trade however mine. I intend to breastfeed my subsequent baby for a helluva lot longer. We all realize breast is first-class, a few simply selected now not to check out. Personally, I do not care should you breastfeed or components feed. Your baby, your option. End of.

is this a question or a rant?

to be honest i totally disagree with you

i breastfed both my children for approx 13 months with each- then they weaned themselves. they BOTH turned out to have lactose allergies so bottle feeding would have been EXPENSIVE and bottles are a pain-
in our climate (the desert) milk goes bad in minutes during the summer
i never had to worry about sour formula, missing or empty bottles or any of the mess. i fed them easily where ever i happened to be including the middle of the mall :o) with no problems

and i never got saggy boobs from it. that comes from weight problems and age not babies

am sorry your experiance soured you on the joys of the time with your babies but accusing the world of 'manipulating' you into doing it and then 'warning' new moms- doesnt seem at all right.

i hope you enjoying your babies now tho.

AMEN! I totally agree....I started off breastfeeding my son and then dislocated my knee and was put on morphine..we had to switch him to formula until the meds were out of my system. I continued to pump my milk to keep the flow going but got so weak and sick from everything that was going on at the time...so the point is that we kept him on formula and it was ALOT easier and he is a perfect healthy and happy boy. For the next kid i will have no problems using / recommending formula!!!
Dang people! Not everyone has the right circumstances to breastfeed, give formula users a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If formula for you seemed easier, than by all means, do formula! I had to give formula to my daughter because she absolutely refused to breastfeed. I'm pregnant again and would like to try to breastfeed this go round, but if it doesn't work out that way, I'm not worried. The main reason I would like to try to breastfeed this time is to help me loose the baby weight. My daughter is perfectly healthy and happy and didn't have any issues with the formula. Good luck!

I'm sorry but don't you want something physically;mentally;and
spiritually natural & healthy between you and you child who will be yours for life?
Because when I say natural & healthy , I am clearly talking about that connection you should share with your baby from the start of time. In other words , I think it's the love that counts and not the "SAG" ( the bond and love come first)
Besides , why would you provide anything other to your own child , other than what comes naturally from his/her mother's deep everything to some manufactured formula that just came off a robot. It's your only chance to.....''START FRESH'' with your little one. Think about it.

It's scientifically proven the breastfeeding is healthier. Plus, the kid turns out smarter and formula smells nasty.

And the better bonding experience. But hey, if you don't want saggy boobs, I guess that's more important.
