I thought The Ring(first one) was scary. The other ones that I thought was scary were: 28 Days Later, Blair Witch Project, Candyman, Ammytiville Horror(all versions), all the Nightmare on Elm Street movies and all the Halloween movies.

I like Zombie flicks, Night of the Living Dead is great. You should check out Grind House if you haven't already. The first half of Dream Catcher is great, I'd recommend turning it off after about an hour or so. Shockrape movies from the 70s are pretty scary too, I Spit on Your Grave and Last House on the Left.

Well..."slice and dice" movies are different than true horror movies...and are usually silly, predictable and gory for gore's sake...
But...The Others (with Nicole Kidman) was very good...
Primal Fear (with Richard Gere)..
Fatal Attraction (with Glen Close)
Constantine (with Keanu Reeves)
Devil's Advocate (also Keanu)
all are just a few that come to mind..
however..you just can't beat a great old Alfred Hitchcock thriller...NO ONE can compare to the suspense only he could give to a movie...

The thing that scares me most is the thought of what could happen I.E. Blair witch.
Now thats what would happen for real. That,s possible.
Not like freddie in yr dreams! thats not scary cos you cannot relate to it.
Also jason in halloween standing on the street corner under the light looking at yr house.
Simple thing but very affective.
Oh and scooby doo. I cannot watch that alone.
