WHY the heck is he still beat boxing when they have said it is getting OLD! Last night, I was embarrassed for him. He does have some talent, but stop already! And, I mean SOME talent. his voice is NOT strong. He has looks, some voice, the voice tricks/beat box stuff (keep to a minimum, pls!) and is contemporary. he MUST be OC to think he ahs to beat box EVERY song. Get over it.

the funny thing is that if you go on american idol and look up the videos, look for his interview from the beginning of the season, He specificly says that he will do beat box here and there but he wont do it that much, talk about being a bs'er. lol he annoys i hope he gone the next week. or at least i hope he does stop beat boxing, ITS ANNOYING!

I agree I agree!! I dont know about the whole OCD BUT sumthing isn't right. The beat boxing is played out completely. Yea he is unique, BUT i wouldn't buy his album for anything. He's not even cute to me. He looks like a Keebler Elf. I just want him to go hm. Badly. And i want either Melinda or Jordin to win.

You obviously know nothing about OCD.... I will admit that Blake needs to take caution with just how much he uses the beat box.. or goes off melody at all (in fact, all of the contestants need to be careful with this one). I don't think having a "strong" voice is exactly necessary to sing well, just having a pleasant sounding voice and the ability to entertain.. which he is quite capable.

I agree with you, except for the OCD part.
Blake is not beatboxing because of OCD....he's doing it because that is the ONE quality that sets him apart from the other contestants.
Like you said, his vocals are not as strong, nor as memorable, as the others, so he's exploiting the beatbox thing for all it's worth.
He will NOT win the show, but he will come out with an interesting album next year. If that album doesn't sell well, I guess he still has a career as an entertainer at a theme park somewhere.

<3 I love Blake he is great and he is very very hot and before Bon Jovi week every one was saying he needs to beat box and when he starts to beat box again everyone goes oh you need to stop. I hope Blake wins American Idol..and that he dyes his hair back to being blonde :) <3 Blake should definatley win Melinda has no neck. Lakisha is too fat and goes on about having a kid but Phill had 2 kids and he didn't go on about it every week. Jordon is a good singer but she is so boring and forgetable.

oh well. different strokes for different folks, but I'm hoping either he or Jordin win it all. I think they both have what it takes to have huge success out there.
That being said, none of the performances last night really wowed me. I thought Jordin was the best by far, though I did like Blake's second song.
and by the way, what does OCD have to do with anything? Do you know what OCD is?

You know I am such a huge Blake Fan, but having you said that, I agree with you that he must not beatbox in all the songs that he sings, sometimes the songs that he chose to beatbox are the classics and great songs which needs no change, I agree with you but I think he must stay another week to prove he is really good. And I think he is really good..

Just cause someone tells you to do something doesnt mean they do it. Yeahh they may think its old but really they have no say in the matter if he goes or stays. What they might find interesting and what the fans find interesting are totally different. Yeah he shouldnt beat box every song but when he sang imagine by john lennon he didnt . He may do it alot but he knows what hes doing and his style of music and he knows when to use and not to.

because he is doing his thing. That is Blake, just like Chris last year refused to compromise and made his songs with the rock slant on them, Blake does what his style is. They should all have their own unique style, whatever the song. They are supposed to make it their own, so dammed if they do and dammed if they dont. The judges and majority of the fans are just fickle! I dont particularly care for that box stuff, but I adore Blake for his talent and uniqueness,and its more entertaining than just having someone come out like kareoke night and just sing someones song, blah, blah, blah!

He definitely needs to find a balance with his vocals and beatboxing. Some of his first performances had no beatboxing at all. Overall, I think he's done a great job keeping it all in check, but he definitely needs to tone it down... two weeks in a row is enough.
