Anyways, I need to find a picture of stuff like a bowl of fruit or like for example i dunno just something like a bowl of fruit or like something like that. i don't know what it's called. then i need to draw it on Canson Paper.

Are there any good pictures I can find?

p.s. make sure it's not that hard to draw. I need to get it ready until tomorrow!!

Yeah, it's called Still Life and the teacher is looking at the lighting and brightness thing. I'm kind of having problem with lightness and brightness too because i don't know how to do it. I'm used to coloring images with out having to do brightness and lightness.

What can I do with that problem too?

You'll produce a better image if you set up a still life group for yourself. If you haven't got fruit you could use vegetables, still have the colour and natural shapes to work from. Just remember that if you put things into a bowl you'll only see the top of the fruit or veg in the bottom of the bowl, so don't be tempted to draw the whole object. Also remember that each piece of fruit or veg will partially cover some of the others.

1. Open your cupboard.

2. Take out a bowl.

3. Put some fruit in it.

4. Draw.

why don't you set up a bowl and fruit, how hard could that be to find.

sounds like you're only taking this class because art is 'easy', and you thought, how hard could it be.

i also don't really get what you're trying to do. if you have to draw it on canson paper, how is finding a picture on the internet going to help? are you going to print it out on canson paper? it's so easy to tell if something's been drawn on or printed.

if you're using canson paper, you sure as hell can't trace a picture, either.

do it the right way, and if it sucks, it sucks, and maybe you'll actually try the next time.

good luck, lazy.

Sounds like you're doing a project called "still life" - if that's it you can pretty much draw anything that's positioned and not moving - like a table and chairs or a bowl with or without fruit - it's up to you. It's pretty much an exercise on your interpretations of textures and light and shadow on a still object or objects.
