you are preparing for trial and must select a jury for a domestic violence case. What kind of jurors are you trying to eliminate or perhaps prevent the other side from eliminating from the jury panel? you can argue from the prosecutor's and/or defense attorney's perspective.

As a defense lawyer, I would try to eliminate any women who were victims of domestic abuse. I would also try to eliminate any law enforcement officers, social services professionals, medical doctors, children of families where there was domestic abuse, etc. Those people are too close to domestic abuse, and they are probably people with fixed opinions on the matter.

I would also want to excuse any executives, teachers, or college professors. I would think that those people are used to dominating groups, and I would not want to have one person on a jury who would substitue their interpretation of the law for the judge's.
