Would it be business as usual ignoring the public as normal? What does it take to prove your vote doesn't count? http://www.hbo.com/docs/programs/hackingdemocracy/interview_filmmakers.html

I agree that the American public needs to be mobilized....but I don't think that the vote is a good place to start. It would certainly send a very strong message, but the fall out would be something that everyone would have to live with....and that is just unacceptable.

Mobilize, assemble and speak out about the gas taxes, about illegal immigration...exercise your rights to speak out and be heard.

That is what is happening now. Turn out less than 50%. Only the staunch party members are voting and will always vote. The voters do not know who to vote for. Since all of the advertising is to show you who not to vote for. I will continue to push adding a line "none of the above" on every line on a ballot. Then if that wins, the politicians will learn that people are upset and not lethargic.

I learned that my vote had been hijacked and you have all paid the price for that hijacking from the 2000 election. I live in Palm Beach County Florida. Sure as I live and breathe that election was hijacked. As a former computer professional, It just would not be that hard to do to write a program that would change the vote and make it look like it had never been done. I will go to my grave convinced that this is what happened. A lot of us lost our ability to trust that day and I don't know what it will take to restore that trust. -k-

I think everyone should refuse to spend any money for a month (except to buy very basic food) and take public transit - that would send a message!

of course, it would also cause the collapse of our economy but oh well

By laughing even louder all the way to the bank as they empty our treasury and force us into a long term debt from which we'll never recover.

What a brilliant idea! Nobody votes in the next election, so there won't be any replacements for all these corrupt politicians you hate so much.

Smmmoooooooth move, Ex-Lax.

Everone won't refuse to vote. If too many good people opt out, that will leave it wide open for the crooks. You need to come up with a better plan.

you barely get half the population to vote now. what makes you think anybody would care. we would get the next president anyway. and then you'll be mad because it won't be the guy you wanted. and the cycle continues.
