I used to work in my school theater doing various things many of which were difficult and annoying but the worst thing I had to do there was that one time I had to help the lighting designer by bringing him some gels (plastics that change the colors of the spotlights).

It would have been fine had they not been the lights up in the ceiling of the very large auditorium. I had to climb up a tall ladder into the crawl space of the ceiling and walk across a long stretch of HOT lamps (it was like 200 degrees in there) to give him the gels and crawl back out. Not to mention that theres holes in there that I have to step over. I was so afraid I would fall through the ceiling.

I once had a newspaper route, but the boss didn't have a list of the houses that should get the newspaper, so I just ended up throwing the paper to the closest houses I could find until they were all gone, then I'd go home.

Talk about an unfulfilling career.

Working at a pet food plant, having to clean out the bottom of the silos, in moldy maggot in fested pit. The ground was moving from the maggots the rotten feed stunk so bad you threw up. Shoveled the rot into buckets and someone pulled it up and emptied it.

Your clothes had to be thrown away, and no one let you in the lunch room.

That would have to be the job I had as a valet driver at a local restaurant. I was always being accused of joyriding with people's cars and whatnot. That wasn't always true, though. I only did that with the sports cars.

Walking beans and detasseling corn. Both of which are extremely tiring and boring, and you have to get teenagers to do it, because no one else in the world is that broke or desperate. Even the illegals don't want those jobs!

Weeding beetroot fields, then later picking the beetroot, very messy because we had to screw the tops off and the beet juice stained your hands bright red! Also picked peas and broad beans, that was just back breaking!
