I've seen crocodiles sort of roaring in the water next to the female making the water all splash up but I'm not too sure if alligators do this.

Courtship begins with bellowing.... females can hear a male bellowing from over two miles away... she will respond and he will track her down... if more than one male shows up, they will fight over her... sometimes to the death... usually to submission....

Courtship itself can last up to three weeks before actual mating occurs.... snout rubbing, swimming circles around each other.... male will swim underneath the female and blow bubbles... I've watched a male swim up to a female, put his "arm" around her shoulder... she would submerge and come up about 20 feet away... he'd follow and go to hug her again.... this went on for about half an hour or so.... they'll circle the pond/lake/whatever side by side....

Whatever makes people think alligators have no tenderness has definitely -not- watched courtship or a mother with her hatchlings....

First they go to a nice restaurant like Red Lobster and they have some surf and turf and some wine and candle light. And then in the moonlight they go back to the swamp and get naked. You can fill in from here.
