I am looking for information/current research linking the age of fathers to any possible problems concieving children or any possible birth defects, etc. My husband is 30, so I am really only concerned with anything that might occur between 30 and 35. I am only 22, so I am not as concerned with my age being a problem. Thanks.

men have been known to sire perfectly healthy babies well into their 80's and even 90's.

My daughter married a man 9 years her senior. Last year she gave birth to their third healthy child. SIL was 38 at time of conception.

So Relax and go for it.

Age isn't a factor for a man until after he reaches 50. Even then he can father children but the likelihood of birth defects is somewhat higher.

I wouldn't worry about it at your husband's age.
