My husband is fascinated with storms and tornadoes and we just recently moved to "Tornado Alley" so can anyone suggest a good book full of quality storm and tornado photography? I looked at a book by Prof. Bluestein called Tornado Alley but it was too technical, geared toward folks with meteorology degrees....
I want a big book with lots of full-color photographs. This would be the perfect gift for him. Thanks for your help!

Storm Chaser: In Pursuit of Untamed Skies by Warren Faidley.
The book has lots of pictures, not just of tornadoes but also of thunderstorms, lightning, and hurricanes (Andrew in particular). Faidley also does the writing, and it's generally in a conversational, user-friendly, first-person narrative style. He gets his facts right but he also doesn't get hung up on using lots of technical terms, so you don't need a degree in meteorology in order to enjoy the book.

Have you looked at: Storm Chasing Handbook by Tim Vasquez?
If your husband is a weather nut, have him look into becoming a CoCoRaHs volunteer.

This is an easy first step. If he likes it, then he can go on to becoming a certified storm spotter.
