Any compatible board from top manufacturers will do.

You need to use a 64 bit version of Windows to use more than 4 GB and each game would need to be compiled to use 64 bit processing to use more than 2 GB (unlikely at this time). Other games might not even run via 64 bit Windows. Even with 4 GB, maximum visible RAM for all applications with 32 bit Windows can be 3.5 GB or less, as the top end of memory addresses is used for other purposes, including for the size of the memory on the graphics card.

Look in Pricewatch.com--they have a huge selection of online dealers (the dealers are rated and the prices are good) read the ads, they will tell how much ram you can install. Also for gaming speed you will want one that has a high FSB speed--over 800 or 1000 at least. You can buy a motherboard & cpu combo that will save you money and are matched to work together--doing this will cut shipping costs also if they ship them in the same box.

Your contemporary computer is **** in view which you have in basic terms 2GB of RAM with Vista, Vista is **** and could use maximum of that 2GB in basic terms for the OS! the 32-bit and sixty 4-bit OS is merely what number bits of information it strategies at a time. in case you want to play video games on your computer then you quite'll choose a lot of RAM (ideally 4-6GB+) yet you in addition to mght want an excellent snap shots card with an sufficient quantity of video RAM (1GB+)
