If you're getting enough crap, a time limit shouldn't matter. Do you really want to waste more of your life on some loser that you know that you made a mistake on? Or are there parts of the marriage that you love and both of you want to change for the other and some crap you can put up with? Just make sure it's a decision you (and your kids if you have them) can live with for the rest of your life.

I was in a very abusive marriage. Physically and mentally. I finally got so fed up with it after four years and walked out on him, filing for divorce months later. I just knew that I couldn't go through life being this miserable. I know I did the right thing.

It took me 3 months into the marriage before I packed up his sh*t and told him its over. Unfortunately I didnt get divorced for 7 years because the loser moved to California and I had no address.

It took 25 years to get the actual divorce, but when I FINALLY decided "enough was enough", it only took one conversation, one afternoon, to get things started. I know 25 years is pathetic, because I KNEW it was over in the first 2 years, but I was VERY committed to my vow. If I could only do it over, I would never have wasted those valuable years. When you KNOW, that you KNOW, it's over, start the divorce immediately!
