He's a blowhard who shoots off his mouth without doing any research.
For example:
The day of the VATech shootings, he was on the air blaming Video Games for training the kid to kill.
Later in the day, the Washington Post's online article included a note that the shooter was a Counter Strike player. They later removed this claim from the article. The subsequent police investigation revealed that the shooter not only owned NO video games, but had never been seen playing any.
At the time Dr Phil went about blaming the media and video games, the inaccurate Washington Post article hadn't even been posted.
Dr Phil never apologized for jumping to conclusions that were later discredited.
He's a liar, a blowhard and he never admits when he's wrong.
He's only on TV because Opera was taken in by his act, and his ability to pretend he knows what he's talking about.

i do in contrast to Dr. Phill. i'm a psychology grad pupil, and the common theory between psychologists is that he would not do any authentic treatment. he's a humorous tale, and he did no longer even pass to an truly sturdy grad college. I interviewed on the college he went to, and that i grew to become down their grant. Later i found out that they have had problems these days with scholars and faculty drowsing collectively. no longer expert. i think of he's a quack and not ok experienced.

Nah. This season(and last too) he has really tanked. I am just waiting for someone to start throwing shoes Springer-style. This past year he had a show about a dad possibly molesting his 3 year old daughter and they actually showed her face and her tantrums on the show. How sad to exploit a little one like that.

I use to watch it, but haven't watched it in about a year. The only reason I liked watching it was because of the girl "Alex" that was pregnant and 15 or 16 and had the little boy named Nathan. I enjoyed watching that story.

I like Dr. Phil. I can't wait until Thursday when they do an update on that crazy husband that faked a vasectomy. That guy is a true psycho.

I like some of the shows. At least his show is informative and not just "who's the baby's daddy" type of talk show. Think he covers interesting subjects. I saw his wife on Rachel Ray's show yesterday and I do not like her! She's so fake.

He's alright. He tries to get his guests to identify and clearly see their faults, then will offer help or a good therapist. He does some really decent shows. Oprah- now she's the bomb!

I don't like his show, I don't think he helps people at all instead exploits them and let them ramble off about their problems for ratings....does he ever help anyone?
