That's what I've been wondering since 9/11/01! Of course, a lot of Bush supporters manage to come up with all sorts of excuses regarding why he hasn't been found and brought to justice, but one would think that if we can invade a country that wasn't involved in the attacks AND capture its missing dictator, we sure as hell could've found bin Laden by now!

I've been wondering that since we invaded Iraq back in 2003.
He's out there, stirring up the masses, funding violent extremist Islamic groups, inspiring other would-be terrorists to take a swipe at the U.S.
Aren't you glad that we consider him an unimportant individual and decided to take down the real threat of imaginary WMD's in Iraq?

Maxx,
I would say that the question is valid. Out original intent for going to the Middle East was to eliminate Osama. What happened to that goal? Why didn't we finish that part before going to Iraq?

Translation of Funeral Article in Egyptian Paper:
al-Wafd, Wednesday, December 26, 2001 Vol 15 No 4633
News of Bin Laden's Death
and Funeral 10 days ago
Islamabad -
A prominent official in the Afghan Taleban movement announced yesterday the death of Osama bin Laden, the chief of al-Qa'da organization, stating that binLaden suffered serious complications in the lungs and died a natural and quiet death. The official, who asked to remain anonymous, stated to The Observer of Pakistan that he had himself attended the funeral of bin Laden and saw his face prior to burial in Tora Bora 10 days ago. He mentioned that 30 of al-Qa'da fighters attended the burial as well as members of his family and some friends from the Taleban. In the farewell ceremony to his final rest guns were fired in the air. The official stated that it is difficult to pinpoint the burial location of bin Laden because according to the Wahhabi tradition no mark is left by the grave. He stressed that it is unlikely that the American forces would ever uncover any traces of bin Laden.

Living in the psychological luxury of knowing nobody's coming after them, seeing as the Allies are scared of pissing off Pakistan. That's the only way I can see the issue, such as it's laid out to me.

He is irrelevant, he is one individual that no longer leads.
Your "question' besides being a childish swipe at the President and the military does illustrate the difference between the way Liberals and conservatives view terrorism
Following the first WTC attacks Clinton sent out the lawyers, viewing the situation as a law enforcement issue. Bush viewed terrorism as a military issue.
Your silly little question illustrates the fact that libs have not given up on the idea that terrorism can be solved by lawyers. You still think arresting one irrelevant individual has any use.

What's amazing is how many people will now tell you, "It doesn't matter. Osama is no one."
Osama is no one... except he's the guy who planned and funded the 9/11 attacks. And people think it "doesn't matter" where he is.
They wanted Saddam dead for what Saddam did to the Iraqi people.
But they don't want Osama dead for what he did to the American people.
