Let me ask you, if you are working and you have a bad day at office what do you do when you sit around chit chatting over a cup of coffee. We start rambling all the things that we disagree with and most of the time going overboard with such discussions and even blow some issues out of proportion. As if everyone else is responsible for things going wrong and accusations are aplenty specially for people who are not around. to me it sounded more on the same pitch.
As far as the money goes it is a factor but no player with even 10 grams of brain would sacrifice his form for endorsement money coz endorsements are just the incentives for good performance and non-performing and losing team will miss out on most lucrative opportunities.
I think many things are wrong with the indian team but this sting operation does not satisfy me.

I haven't seen the Aaj Tak story but I do believe that there is something in indian character that an average indian will do anything to make money. Our cricketers are no exceptions. It is ironical that the people who have more money are more likely to be more corrupt.

I feel that more than the money factoring into the cause for India's failure in cricket recently, it really comes down to the lack of unity and trust amongst the players. And without that, how can any team perform on the big stage?
If you go back 5 years, the time when Ganguly was captain of the team - he brought in his own choice of players like Sehwag, Yuvraj, Kaif, Zaheer, Pathan, Nehra etc. These players all got along with each other very well - but the minority of senior players in the side like Tendulkar, Dravid, Srinath etc. still didn't get aong well the rest of the team. But Ganguly (dada) captained the players very well & India were performing at their best.
Once Chappell came in, he got rid of Ganguly & made Dravid as captain - this left the whole team in shambles. Most of the players in the side were selected by dada & followed his orders. No more dada - where will his men go? The new captain Dravid tried to captain the players in his own fashion, but it did not get along well with the majority of players. Plus, Dravid selected a whole bunch of new guys into the team (but in a very professional manner, unlike Ganguly) and tried to "mold" a new Indian team - but it has not worked out well.
Now that Ganguly has been brought back into the team, the old allegiances have sprung back - so a lot of players are back to supporting Ganguly, but the players who came later are supporting Dravid/Tendulkar. This has caused a lot of friction amongst the team members & they have had a lot of problems to deal with as a result. One example is the dressing-room fight between Sreesanth & Zaheer.
Indian cricket is in shambles at the moment & I'm not sure as to how it will be resolved. There is a lot of talent in the team & it's gonna be wasted.

Having seen the performance of some of the players in the team, one tend to believe that first priority for the players is money.
