im soon to be 18 and have a strong (and also very modest) relationship with my boyfriend of 3 years now. He is 23 and his name is Hassan.
We have both made a vow of everlasting love for one another and promise our bodies,hearts and souls for each other (both of us are virgins). I plan to finish my schooling and achieve a degree so that i can become a prosecuting criminal attorney.
My question(s) are as follows:
1. Why do so many people mock me when i say that my relationship is strong?
2.I will get married when im older but people say that because im 18 i have no clue what love is. Why do older people judge so fast?

My boyfriends father died when he was 12 so he did not finish schooling so that he could help his mother and 2 siblings. My friends say that he is not good enough.
How can i make them see how perfect he is?

1. People mock because they don't understand how because a lot of people feel that sex is the determine all of a relationship not the conversation, the being intimate without going all the nor the waiting.
Some may see an age gap and think that he is not going to be around once you get into college - but you two will be the ones to determine if the relationship is strong enough to withstand college and it's temptations as well as if you're going to be a distance from him or not.
2. It is best that you wait until you are ready for marriage. People say that because so many people have been or had been in relationships at a young age that didn't work and they don't understand that the heart can't help who it loves. So most people are speaking from their own experiences which may or may not have anything to do with the outcome of your relationship with Hassan.
3. You don't have to prove anything to your friend it is what it is and she can either except it or reject it - you're the one in it.
4. Love is perfect and so is the person in the eyes of the beholder.

Older people judge fast BECAUSE THEY WERE YOUR AGE ONCE. Do you not understand the world better now than you did when you were 12 years old? I hope so. I am certain your religion teaches you respect for your elders.
Go ahead with your education, please, and you will see after the 6 years it will take to get your law degree, when you are 24 or 25, what everyone is trying to get you to understand now.
Most importantly, what was a 20 year old man doing dating a 15 year old?

People aren't mocking you, they just want you to understand that nothing in life is %100 perfect all the time. And of course he's perfect to you but the rest of the world is not madly in love with him. It does sound like you two have a strong healthy relationship. Best of luck to you both.

Ur young and still have a long way to go things could change. Just live ur happy life for now but know that ppl change and so do relationships. If ur one of the lucky ones that have a lasting relationship with no problems then kudos to u but that is definitely a fairytale dream.

If your relationship is a fairy tale, obviously that explains your unrealistic thinking. That also explains why others do not take you seriously. No ONE is perfect. You may be blinded, while others may see the truth. Listen to what others have to say. Stay focused on your education. Please give youself time to make your life decisions before committing to ANYTHING. You may not realize it right now, but 17 is very young. Not only in years, but in experience. You have a whole world ahead of you. Be patient. Please dont rush life. Savor it.

Because the older folks have experience,not to say that you dont have a good relationship with your BF which is nice. You should try for somemore time. We older folks have been around the block up the stairs down them as well, love is powerful and it can overcome alot but it also can blind our sights as well,you have to look at it also from a logic stand point as well.
