There is a pill called Seasonale that stops the period for I think 3 months at a time. An injection called Depo Provera also does this. See a gynecologist.

If she has just started I sincerely doubt she will be on her period from the 18th of every month. The chances are it will be very irregular and so there is no indication she will be on her period on her holiday. I don't think the doctor would have a problem with prescribing the pill to a twelve year old - I was offered a choice of the pill or a hormonal pill at 12 to regulate my period - BUT this was for long term regulation. It is worth asking the doctor though. I really do discourage you from telling the doctor that the pill is for you - it can really upset the hormones which isn't good for a twelve year old. They may prescribe her something else which can regulate the period - because of her age and the short-term purpose. There are lots of different types of the pill, and age is a factor when the doctor chooses it. Also - the pill can take several months to regulate your period anyway, so it may not necessarily work the way you want it to. I'm not sure it is even legal to give your prescription to someone else. I do not understand how you will not let her use tampons - but you will give her your prescription - which could be really dangerous.

Consult with your doctor about what contraceptives to use.
Depo does stop periods BUT there are SO many negative side affects to the shot that it is not worth it. I was on it for four years and will NEVER go on it again. I also had to get on the birth control pill in order for my periods to come back again.
Seasonale I believe only has 4 periods a year.

I'm not sure about there being any pills to stop periods, but the mirena coil works ( the doctor will only give one to you if you have already had children)!!! Electrolysis shouldnt hurt if done properly and cost varies from place to place, go to your local beauticians and ask for a price list!!

The Depo injection doesn't have the same effects for everyone, some people can have heavy periods for up to a month at a time, whilst others have no periods what so ever. For more informed answers i'd suggest talking to your GP or family planning nurse about it as they're trained to deal with such questions.

You really shouldnt stop your period - it's a natural thing. Sure a lot of women hate it (myself included)
It hurts, its annoying but its also a natural thing. You really shouldnt muck your cycle up.
If you dont like it and use pads, try switching to tampons, you only have to remember to change it every 4-8 hours (depending how heavy your flow is) and you should only really wear a pad at night to avoid TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome)
Apart from that you should celebrate your womanhood :)
as for removing the hair electorsis can be pretty painful and expensive.

Electrolysis does hurt, I have had my upper lip done and it hurts like mad, although not for long. The cost varies but it isn't cheap. At my salon you pay for the length of time you are having it - in 15 minute sessions.

the depo injection gave me heavy periods every 13 days.the only pills i know of are to delay your period say if you go on holiday, can't remember the name of them though,
buy an epilator for unwanted hair but i must warn you it bloody hurts,i wouldn't waste my money go for electrolysis as none of them are 100% at removing unwanted hair permanently plus you have to keep going back to get it redone,it'd be cheaper to buy your own kit

Actually, I believe that, with the use of any type of birth control pill, you can stop your period, just by not taking the placebo pills. However, you should never do this unless you speak to your gynecologist.
