I dont think anyone actually listens to people like Jane Fonda.. Most people, even liberals, take her for the whacko that she is...

And it's not exactly hard to consider Fonda a "traitor" at least by unofficial means. She didn't just oppose the vietnam war.. she outright supported our enemies. She participated in radio broadcasts on behalf of the communist regime. Not exactly very patriotic eh?

In a day when freedom of speech include respect for ones self and country. A debate and a peaceful protest. Information shared... Y!answers, some days the posts are rude and disgusting. Many not even questions at all just rants. U wonder if they were taught anything at all or just stayed in a closet coming out into the dark.
Ms. Fonda got the "Hanoi Jane" tag for showing the world realities of war in Vietnam. She didn't burn any flags or bash a President like they do today. I believe it is how you approach the issues and present the point of view that is most critical. Now adays people just babble away not even having done research at all. Another 2pts and move on. Yes, in my opinion the rooms here are sadly lacking integrity and structure. Thank you!!

No chatting and so forth. I received 10 thumbs down. ROFL Anyway...I have in these days off from paintings however by and large I am now not on in the course of the day. Not even to peek in. We are all within the equal boat it sort of feels with numerous violations. I have no idea as whatever will also be performed. Just enchantment. I have gained extra appeals than I misplaced. And the appeals that I gained had been said via the "Yahoo Answers Community" and now not via the "Yahoo Answers Team". So there you've it. If it issues to you ... Just enchantment.

Um...wait. Now anyone who isn't a patriot is automatically a traitor? When did this start?

As a matter of fact, I have some interesting news for you: Patriotism is a flawed ideology. Why? Quite simply, because countries and governments are inconstant, shifting things that cannot be depended on. Look at Italy, which fought against Germany during World War I and with it during World War II only 21 years later. Or Germany itself, which went from nazi fascism to being one of the least anti-semitic countries in Europe in less than 60 years. I'm sure there are many other examples too. The fact is, you can't count on a country always defending a certain viewpoint, and the United States of today might not be like the United States of a decade from now. Taking a philosophy based on such an inconstant thing, that could turn around and betray you at any moment, is hardly a wise idea. I'm hoping against hope that you're smart enough to understand that when it's explained to you.

She's a national embarrassment, and a disgrace.

She should have been tried for treason.

PS Ever notice how the same people who throw around baseless charges against Bush, Cheney, etc. all the time for trying to protect America are the same ones who get all high and mighty when someone makes a charge - fairly well substantiated - about someone who worked to help the enemy?

Get over it, already! It was well over 30 years ago that Jane Fonda visited Vietnam. Also, it's not as if the question pertains to politics. And even if it did, what's it to you?

I could not agree with you more on allowing someone who is a traitor on this forum much less allowing her into the country.

I suppose I got my revenge by answering the question. I wrote a few lines about how I learned about patriotism and respect for the military in my home (true story).

I hope she gets the message.

Just for the record Jane is a traitor. She met with the North Vietnamese during wartime to help them generate propaganda. During a photo-shoot she posed on an anti aircraft weapon and simulated shooting down American aircraft. She was handed notes from American POWS detailing their harsh treatment which she turned over to their Vietnamese captors.

She is a traitor and if not for her connections and celebrity status she would not have been allowed back into the country.

Liberals are going to take things farther and farther until there is an outright conspiracy to aid our enemies overseas. The is the level of hatred that their selfishness has taken them to and they are willing to compromise it to do it because they dont love the country like we do.
