Find a local gay group so you can meet other gay people. If you're old enough, you can go to gay bars and clubs, though they're often easier to go to with others.

If your friends reject you, then they're not good friends -- sod them. But if you are still in high school, then you may find people are still a bit childish, so you might be just better waiting till you leave before you tell absolutely everyone. I'd love it if more people came out in school -- it would ultimately do a great deal to combat homophobia. But in some areas some individuals are gonna have a hard time.

Again, the best thing you can do now is look for a local gay group to visit.

Be Yourself!!! your true friends will stand by you no matter what. You shouldn't be ashamed of yourself, doesn't mean you have to go out and flaunt it and overcompensate for it either.
